      Quality Tourism Australia

Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC) is the national representative body for tourism.

The role of ATIC is to provide leadership and industry representation through a national voice for tourism, and to manage national industry development programs.

ATICs three national industry programs – the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program, the Australian Tourism Awards and Star Ratings Australia support quality tourism businesses in their continued development, to review and to benchmark.

      Australian Tourism Accreditation Program

The Australian Tourism Accreditation Program (ATAP) is a national business development program that is suitable for all businesses types and sizes. It provides businesses with the necessary tools and resources to assist and update business policies and procedures to ensure ongoing sustainability and best practice.

      Australian Tourism Award

The Australian Tourism Awards program has been operating for over 30 years, bringing recognition to, and celebrating businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to excellence.

      Star Ratings Australia

Star Ratings are an internationally recognised symbol for quality accommodation standards. They are used in more than 70 countries worldwide and reflect the cleanliness, quality and condition of guest facilities.

A Star Rating is determined by more than 200 criteria that have been ranked by Australian travellers according to what’s important to them.

The ‘star’ symbols are a licensed trademark and can only be used by properties that have been licensed to use them by the Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC).
